Researchers at Harvard University are working on materials that could forever change tooth repair. They have developed new regenerative dental fillings that use the stem cells inside your teeth to repair tissue.
These fillings, made of synthetic biomaterials, could be inserted after the pulp of the tooth and nerve are removed during a root canal procedure. The new materials stimulate dental skin cells present in your teeth to repair and regenerate dentin, the bony substance that makes up a tooth. Read the full article.
